  • Where: Václav Havel Library, Ostrovní 13, Prague 110 00
  • When: March 15, 2024, 19:00 – 21:00

Presentation of the book Post Mortem, the fruit of a collaboration between Fedor Gál and photographer Miro Švolík.

Death and dying have become essential themes in a society that in recent years has experienced a Covid pandemic, the war in Ukraine and local and global climate disasters. We run up against the theme of death in every season of life. The way it is viewed by Fedor Gál – a man who came into the world under the shadow of death at a concentration camp, lived through a totalitarian regime, was at the birth of democracy in our country and subsequently fought against xenophobia – will be inspiring for all generations.

The evening will conclude with Miroslav Tóth’s Black Angels Songs performed by the Dystopic Requiem Quartet, dedicated to the victims of racial, ethnic and national violence.

Organised by the Václav Havel Library and the non-profit organization BONA FIDE.
