“The Václav Havel’s Place could become an imaginary Greek Agora, a place where the private is recast as the public, a place where we make clear who we are, what we want and where we want to go, but also a place where we can simply take a break or meet somebody. If only people were to argue or dispute here in the spirit referred to, I think that Václav Havel would be glad!” the mayor of Plzeň, Martin Baxa, said at the unveiling of theVaclav Havel’s Place in Šafaříkovy sady, at which its creator Bořek Šípek and Vaclav Havel Library director Marta Smolíkova then sat.
