The American historian, author and Pulitzer Prize winner has presented the Czech editions of two of her most important works.

The book Between East and West is a record of a journey around the borderlands of the West, from Kaliningrad to Odessa, as well as an important attempt to understand the region’s history and cultural diversity. The Iron Curtain: The Crushing of Central Europe, 1944–1956 is an exceptional study of the process by which totalitarian regimes are established.

The debate, chaired by Jiří Schneider, was organized in cooperation with the Polish Institute in Prague and the Pant civic association. The evening will be conducted in English, with Czech interpretation provided.
