Belarus Day in Prague

The Václav Havel Library, Office of Václav Havel and Association Civic Belarus invite you to Belarus Day on 8th December 2008 in Prague’s Montmartre Gallery (Řetězová 7). Belarus Day starts at 3 p.m. with a panel discussion: “Theatre in lack of freedom,” during which Belarusian and Czech theatre in dissent will be discussed - both their similarities and differences.

Czech and Belarusian theatrical experts and activists will participate in the discussion:

  • Jan Ruml, Member of the Association Civic Belarus
  • Ondřej Hrab, Director of the Archa Theatre
  • Nikolaj Kalezin, Member of the Belarus Free Theatre
  • Natalia Koliady, Member of the Belarus Free Theatre

After Belarusian borscht, there will be a performance by the Belarus Free Theatre, “Jeans Generation,” at 6 p.m.
