Václav Havel in 1987

April 12, 2012

Illustration

Wim Lamboo, a Dutch photographer, and Rik van Boeckelem, a Dutch journalist, visited Prague in 1987. The purpose of their visit was to record interviews and take portraits of Czech artists representing culture in the former Czechoslovakia at the end of the 1980s. It was then that this very little known photograph of Václav Havel was taken in the house of painter Jiří Sopek. We consider it to be exceptional and would like to draw your attention to the photograph.
