We are seeking someone with excellent writing skills, editorial experience, and a genuine interest in topics connected to Václav Havel’s legacy—culture, civil society, democracy, human rights, education, modern history, and thoughtful public discourse.

Key Responsibilities

  • Community management and audience engagement.
  • Editing and updating the Library’s website, including work with Czech content and selected English-language content.
  • Preparing graphic materials and creative assets.
  • Monitoring media coverage and tracking media outputs.
  • Providing communication support, as needed, to the Friends of the Václav Havel Library Circle and the Havel Channel project.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of the Library’s PR strategy.
  • Drafting and editing press releases, news updates, announcements, and media materials.
  • Editing printed and digital monthly programmes.
  • Promoting Library events to media outlets, information platforms, and relevant partners.

  • Is familiar with the cultural, civic, media, or public affairs environment.
  • Understands the differences between communication for media, websites, social media, and print publications.
  • Is independent, detail-oriented, reliable, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Can manage multiple projects simultaneously and organize their work effectively.
  • Has practical experience with social media platforms and basic content management tools.
  • Is willing to attend selected Library events when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a cultural, educational, non-profit, media, or public institution.
  • Experience promoting cultural or public events.

What We Offer

  • A diverse combination of PR, editorial, media, and digital communications work.
  • The opportunity to be involved in inspiring debates, cultural events, educational projects, and important public issues.
  • Collaboration with professionals working in culture, history, education, and civic engagement.
  • A part-time position of approximately 0.5 FTE (or as agreed).
