This academic-style lecture, which I have never presented publicly before, is based on my many years of experience in both sculpture and design. It focuses on the difference between designers who create for industry and artists whose work is primarily driven by their own conscience. - Rony Plesl
Rony Plesl (1965) is a major Czech artist, sculptor, designer and teacher. His work is utterly unique in the field of both free art and design. Rather than confronting contemporary trends, he follows impulses from various artistic disciplines, literature and film. He explores the limits of fused glass sculpture, deliberately treating it as a conventional sculptural medium.
