The international Dialogue on Women’s Rights in a Time of Crisis will take place from 16.00–16.45. Madeleine Albright, Karolina Wigura and Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya have confirmed their participation.

Following this at 16:45 will be online interviews with leading figures in the field of women’s rights: Najia Nasim (director of Women for Afghan Women, an organisation that was among the three finalists for the Václav Havel Human Rights Prize in 2015) and Hülya Gülbahar (Turkish lawyer focused on human rights, speaker at the VH Human Rights Prize conference in 2018).

The Dialogues are being held with the kind support of the Sekyra Foundation.

We are holding this meeting in cooperation with Forum 2000.

This year the Václav Havel Human Rights Prize may not be conferred on the usual date as our partner, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, is only sitting virtually in autumn. The prize should be awarded on the occasion of its January session and the Václav Havel Library will be prepared to accompany it with another conference event.
